It is no surprise, likely due to my lack of activity, that I was recently purged from the roster of Wingspan Delivery Services. A short lived run as a Wingspan Delivery Agent. At least I was able to secure a delivery in the most traditional of means(bomber vs. heron), provide a delivery receipt, and walk away with a grin.
I will take this time to discuss Eve Online Corporations and how finding your 'fit' goes a long way towards maintaining your path in New Eden. Wingspan was a great group. They have a unique personality as well as content creators that try to inject interest and activity into the game. That said, from the 2nd time I was in comms casually I realized that the group was not a 'fit' for me. No biggie, I figured I could still make deliveries, I'd just do so entirely on my own. Of note, the group has a small core set of pilots that are generally online and working together. There is also a greater number of pilots that prefer to chart their own course alone and you will likely never chat or interact with them unless you somehow end up in the same location.
Realizing that the 'fit' was not quite there as well as having difficulty finding content at the times I was able to hunt all seemed to contribute to my lack of activity. Nothing really negative, just a few factors in combination that didn't work. Pilots in New Eden need to realize that this happens. That there are groups large, small, and even individuals, that can provide that 'fit'. Finding this will likely go a long way to extending the time spent in the universe.
I am grateful for the short time I was able to bear the Wingspan banner. I am grateful for the experience and glimpse behind the curtain into the inner workings of the group. I wish them well.
As for me, I'm not done just yet. Potentially my luck will change? Potentially the curse of content, or lack thereof, is lifted?
For now,
Be Well New Eden!
